No matter your training goals or budget, this guide will help you make a confident, informed decision.
Your 3 key decisions when choosing gym flooring
When it comes to gym flooring, there are three key decisions: what thickness you need, what type of tile suits your space, and how you plan to install it. Here’s a clear and simple guide to help you make the right choice for your home gym, commercial gym, or garage setup.

1. What Thickness?
We supply rubber gym floor tiles in 20mm, 30mm and 40mm thicknesses:
-
20mm gym flooring is our most popular option, ideal for most home gyms, garage gyms, and functional spaces like CrossFit and Hyrox boxes. It’s affordable, durable and easy to install.
-
30mm gym flooring is perfect for commercial gyms and high-traffic areas that require more protection from heavy weights.
-
40mm gym flooring is best suited to first-floor gyms or converted retail units where noise reduction and shock absorption are crucial.
2. What Type?
We mainly offer two styles of rubber gym floor tiles: SBR and EPDM.
-
SBR gym flooring is a great value choice, strong, reliable and used in thousands of gyms across the UK.
-
EPDM rubber gym flooring is the premium option, with a smoother surface, colour flecks, and underside connector clips for quick installation. It’s easy to clean and looks slick in modern gym designs.
3. How to Install It?
Most rubber gym tiles can be laid in a straight or brick effect pattern.
-
Both SBR and EPDM tiles can be cut easily with a Stanley knife and laid directly onto the floor.
-
EPDM tiles also come with connector clips on the underside to help keep them aligned and locked together during installation.
