Project Brief
Esme from MVMT dropped us an email with a vision for a community-focused gym. Having outgrown her existing space, she was looking at expansion and had managed to sort an ideal space that supported her business vision, whilst also enabling more Lincoln locals to benefit from the MVMT approach.
We quite quickly found that a.) Esme was focused on getting this new venture launched in a cost-effective way, b.) she wanted quality and for the gym not only to be highly functional but it needed to look the part too, and c.) she really cared about the overall offering, the from a bespoke rig that fit her needs, to the broader offering off coffee and clothing, MVMT isn’t just a gym, it’s a whole fitness lifestyle. If you train at MVMT, we suspect you aren't just going to get in shape, you’re going to become a part of the MVMT family, you’ll make friends, sweat heavily and love every minute of it.
MVMT has a high ceiling in terms of membership. At 100 members and a few PTs renting space this venture stacks up commercially. Esme has hit these numbers swiftly (and we aren’t surprised) with 200 members and more PTs renting space not too far around the corner, it looks to be a great all-around venture.
How Recharge Helped
We had a grown-up conversation to understand where we could help most. Coming from another gym, Esme already had some old kit (which will get replaced in the future), but that wasn’t a priority. So we focused on areas where we could add the most value; getting over 200 sqm of flooring down, a beastly bespoke sled track, and a custom-built rig that is a centrepiece of the gym and clients' training. We played a key role in keeping the project on track and getting it launched.
