Project Overview

Renew was created with a clear mission: to provide a women’s-only fitness space built on care, community, and quality. Jane, the founder of Renew, approached Recharge Fitness with a vision to transform a stunning old barn in the heart of Exeter into a premium gym experience. With heritage charm and natural surroundings, the location offered character, but also challenges in layout and practicality. The goal was to design a functional and inclusive space that delivered high-end equipment without exceeding budget.

Our Role

Recharge Fitness collaborated with Jane to bring her ideas to life. From the early planning stages, we looked at how to best utilise the unique barn layout while making it feel modern and professional. With a focus on accessibility, versatility, and aesthetics, we helped select a variety of cardio, strength, and functional equipment. One key decision was the use of luxury EPDM fleck flooring, ideal for a countryside location where easy cleaning is essential. The result is a welcoming, fully-equipped gym space that balances performance and design.

Looking Forward

Renew isn’t just a gym, it’s a community space, rooted in purpose and driven by passion. With its doors now open, the focus is on growing the membership, building strong client relationships, and empowering women through fitness. As future expansion opportunities arise, Recharge Fitness looks forward to continuing the partnership and supporting Jane’s vision for FREYJA FIT and beyond.
