2. What material is the sled track made from?
The sled track is made from high-quality synthetic turf designed to withstand heavy use and provide a durable surface for sled training and other fitness activities.
 
3. Is the sled track suitable for both indoor and outdoor use?
Yes, our sled track is versatile and can be installed both indoors and outdoors. It is weather-resistant, ensuring longevity and performance in various environments. It has a good UV rating, but over the years you could get some discolouration if in direct sunlight. 
 
4. How do I install the sled track?
The sled track can be installed using adhesive or by being secured at the edges. We recommend professional installation to ensure the track is properly laid out and secured, especially for larger areas. However, many customers do it themselves; just purchase some spray adhesive and use it liberally, and apply to a clean flat surface. 
 
5. What maintenance does the sled track require?
Maintenance is minimal. Regular cleaning with a vacuum or brush to remove dirt and debris is recommended. For outdoor installations, occasional hosing down may be necessary to keep the surface clean.

7. How durable is the sled track?
Our sled track is designed to be highly durable, with a dense stitch pattern (63,000 stitches per square meter) and a robust fiber density (DTEX 5500), making it ideal for high-traffic areas and heavy-duty use. 
 
8. What is the expected lifespan of the sled track?
With proper maintenance, the sled track can last for several years, even with frequent use. The lifespan can vary depending on factors such as usage intensity, location, and maintenance practices. We only ever provide a 1 year warranty as standard, and it should only ever be used for it's intended purpose. If you throw weights on it, drag cardio machines over it, wooden plyo boxes, kettlebells etc, you will damage it. Top tip; make sure no stones are carried inside from shoes, small stones that get run over by a weight sled can cause holes in your sled track. 
 
9. What is the DTEX measurement, and why is it important?
DTEX (Decitex) is a unit of measurement that indicates the fibre's density. A higher DTEX value means the fibres are thicker and generally more durable. Our sled track has a DTEX of 5500, ensuring a strong and resilient surface making it a perfect bit of commercial gym equipment. 
 
10. Is the sled track safe for users?
Yes, the sled track is designed with safety in mind. The 15mm height provides a cushioned surface that reduces the impact on joints, making it safe for various high-intensity exercises. The track is also non-slip, providing traction during use. Top tip: add a 5mm ply or underlayer to ensure the track sits totally flush with 20mm flooring (add 15mm ply or underlay for a flush finish with 30mm tiles).
