All our tiles are made from premium rubber. - Our pure black standard floor tiles are SBR rubber (Styrene-Butadiene Rubber), they use SBR grains on the bottom and are finished with super dense SBR granules to give a smooth but grippy finish. - Our EPDM tiles are made from EPDM with EPDM powdered top layer that provides a very high-end and smooth finish, this smooth finish also helps ensure it's easy to clean the tiles vs SBR. Both options are highly functional and perfect for a gym environment. The main difference with the EPDM tiles aside from the connector clips and the fact that have they have ever so slightly more bounce vs SBR, is with the finish, EPDM tiles have a smoother finish which makes it easier to clean. Aside from that, it's largely an aesthetic preference with EPDM having coloured fleck options which do provide a great visual look.

Q: Why do cost vary for commercial gyms?

We've got two models, normal purchasing of floor tiles, or commercial pre ordering. Normal purchasing is when you'd just purchase the number of tiles you'd want from the website, and 2-5 days later (depending on couriers) they turn up at your house. We have a secondary model which is largely for big commercial gyms, where they pre order typically 200-500 tiles on a roughly 10-12 week lead time, and pay a lower exclusive rate. As a brand we make a much lower margin, so this is very much a volume play which is why it's only possible with large orders. If you're a home customer, but happen to have a huge gym (100sqm+) then we'd be happy to make an exception to the rule.

Q: What colours do you offer for the 20mm and 30mm fleck flooring?

Great question. It's always nice to have the flecked flooring which matches your brand colours. We offer yellow, blue, white, red, grey and green as standard, but there are other options.If you're after something specific, please just let us know.

Q: Can we personalise lifting platforms or sled tracks?

Put simply, yes. There is a small premium for this, which will depend on your logo and specific order, but it's something we do a lot, especially for commercial gyms who want their brand or specific messaging on their sled tracks, it can really make a large visual impact.

Q: What is the wood in the lifting platforms made from?

It's actually bamboo. The properties of bamboo are excellent for olympic lifting platforms.

Q: Will you fit my flooring for me?

The honest answer is potentially. We do work with commercial gyms on this basis, we have fitters from Recharge, and equally we use fitters around the country. It all depends on the size of the job. It isn't always economically viable, in an extreme example, if we were asked to fit 20sqm of flooring in the north part of Scotland, we'd probably politely decline as it would take longer to drive than it would to fit, and it would cost you a lot for a very small job. If you'd like advice on fitting, or would potentially like us to install for you, just let us know and we will look at it on a case by case basis.

Q: Do I need to use adhesive when fitting tiles?

A professional answer would be yes, however, we are realists. If you're going for a 20mm or 30mm tile, you probably won't need to use adhesive. The 20mm x 1m x 1m tiles are 18kg each, and it's a hefty 24kg for 30mm tiles, further more, they are made of grippy rubber, so movement is unlikely. If you're using edging strips for your flooring, or transitions between two zones, then you'll definitely need adhesive. That's probably the same if you own a super heavy use gym, it's not that it's essential but gives you extra peace of mind. Most of our large commercial customers tend to go for the EPDM Fleck flooring which has built in connector clips, so therefore they cannot move, so that's another no to adhesive glue.

All our gym floor tiles are 1m x 1m - near-perfect 1 meter squared blocks. We have a <1% tolerance level on the sizing which means it's up there as the best most accurate gym flooring around.

We then have a range of different thickness options, but the most popular are gym flooring is our 20mm tiles, which are both functional and cost-effective. Commercial gyms tend to go for either 20mm or 30mm, depending on budgets and gym type. We do also have 40mm gym floor tiles (which we'd only recommend in rare circumstances).

For deadlifts, we recommend 30mm or 40mm EPDM flooring for maximum floor protection and noise reduction. Our to maximise value, we'd often recommend a 20mm tile and then add a dedicated deadlift platform - which is a nice selling point for the gym, but also provides top performance and protection.
